Huntingdon Prison Baptism Report

July 2005

“To the holy and faithful brothers in Messiah at Colosse: Grace and peace to you from Yahweh our Father. We always thank Yah, the Father of our Master Yahshua Messiah, when we pray for you,” (Colossians 1:2-3)

Greetings to all in Yahweh by Yahshua the Messiah, this was a blessed day for the brothers here living behind the walls at Huntingdon State Prison, as we were blessed by another visit from Elder Jacob C. Meyer.  This time he brought Brother Alex Jay from Yahweh’s Frystown Assembly with him.

And what a blessed visit it was!  Some of the brethren and myself had the opportunity to be immersed in the Name above every Name (Yahshua) that we hold so dear and to experience the laying on of hands, being prayed for by brother Jacob and Alex.  Personally, this is an event I’ve been awaiting for ten years, since I first started studying Sacred Name teachings.  And for others, some have been waiting for five years.

Although all who had expressed a desire to be immersed (eleven) didn’t participate, the five of us who were immersed are grateful to be allowed to serve our Abba YAHWEH and continue to minister to those who weren’t immersed and those who witnessed the baptism.

We got to sing songs of Yahweh, to glorify His Name, and we rejoiced in the Ruach HaKodesh.  All in all it was a beautiful day and a great service, one that will live in me always.  We await the presentation of the immersion certificates and we’ll be sending photos of ourselves to Yahweh’s Assembly so that our faces may be known to our brothers and sisters in the faith.  As we continue to pray for you we know you will continue to pray for us as well.

Truly we’ve been blessed by the many visits from Jacob C., as he’s been leading us in the teachings and understanding of Yahweh.  Prayerfully we’ll be blessed with many more visits and with any hope,  we’ll also be blessed to be visited by many of the brothers and sisters from their fellowship, perhaps even having a regular Sabbath service here!

With that I close this letter.  Shalom to you all, as we strive to change our nature by allowing YAHWEH’s Spirit to control our thinking, goals, and desires.  Hebrews 13:3 reads:  “Remember the prisoners as in prison with them, and them who suffer adversity for you also are of mankind.”

Blessed be the Name of YAHWEH! Blessed be He who comes in the Name of YAHWEH.
